New Faces at Cambridge LLP

Indeed Covid-19 brought many changes, challenges and complications to the workplace. Some businesses failed, while others flourished. My firm was not immune to the ups and downs of the past 18 months. Firstly, the flood-gates burst wide open as the 10 million Canadian baby-boomers got older and became more in touch with their own mortality. As a result, estate planning files poured in at an unprecedented rate, making if difficult to keep up. At the same time, recruiting lawyers to help manage our growth became challenging. It seems most newly minted lawyers are choosing careers aimed at solving climate change, gender and racial inequality, and world hunger. Others desire to be part of the litigation theatrics of the court room, just like they see on their favorite Netflix series “Suits”. Despite the fierce competition for legal beagles in the marketplace, we have been fortunate to assemble one of the most talented groups of estate professionals in the region! Please allow us to introduce our Estates Group.

Adam Cappelli

Adam co-founded Cambridge LLP in 2010 and has over 27 years of focused experience in Estates Law. He's the co-managing Partner of the Estates Group, and has been certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Estates and Trust Law.

Doug Elliott

Doug is a co-managing partner of the Estates Group with over 40 years of experience in litigation, having successfully argued cases at the Supreme Court of Canada. He has been certified as a Specialist in Litigation, and is the recipient of the prestigious Law Society Medal and holds an Honorary Doctorate of Laws degree from the University of Toronto.

Joe Figliomeni

Joe is Cambridge LLP’s most senior litigation lawyer in the Estates Group. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario’s law School.

Jordana Talsky

Having gained broad experience as a lawyer in estate matters at law firms along Bay Street in Toronto and in-house as an Estate and Trust Consultant with one of Canada’s largest trust companies, Jordana is well equipped to advise clients in estate planning matters

Tristen Audet

Tristen is a graduate of the University of Windsor Law School. Her practice focus as a lawyer in the Estates Group has been in the area of estate planning and administration. Her experience litigating estate matters gives her a unique perspective as an estate planning professional.

Tim Phelan

Upon completing his degree at Queens University, Tim graduated from the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Law program and is lawyer in the Estates Group focusing on estate litigation.

Quinn Giordano

Quinn is lawyer in the Estates Group focused on estate litigation. Following his undergraduate degree from Queens University, he received his law degree from the University of Ottawa.

Ryan Dearden

Ryan is presently completing his student articling in the Estates Group. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Toronto and received his Bachelor of Laws at Newcastle University in Great Britain. Ryan has accepted a position with Cambridge LLP as a lawyer in the Estates Group.

Sandra Andreychuk

With over 30 years experience as a healthcare professional with McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences Corporation, Sandra joined Cambridge LLP’s Estates Group as a Healthcare Consultant. In this role, she applies her knowledge and unique experience in helping clients prepare their Living Wills.

Jennifer Clavette

Jennifer has been with Cambridge LLP as an estates law clerk since it's inception. She works alongside the estate planning lawyers in the Estates Group with a focus on drafting of estate planning documents.

Julie Lewis

Julie has over 20 years experience as a litigation law clerk and works with the litigation lawyers in the Estates Group.

Kristen Travaglini

With years of customer service and operations work, before and following her graduation from Brock University, Kristen joined Cambridge LLP as Legal Assistant. She is the main point of contact for the professionals in the Estates Group.
